Thekkady

Thekkady is a beautiful hill station located in the Idukki district of the southern Indian state of Kerala. Known for its wildlife sanctuary, spice plantations, and picturesque landscape, Thekkady is a popular tourist destination. The Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary, spread over 777 square kilometers, is home to a diverse range of flora and fauna, including elephants, tigers, leopards, and several species of birds. The sanctuary also offers activities such as bamboo rafting, trekking, and boat cruises on the Periyar Lake. Thekkady is also famous for its spice plantations, which include cardamom, cinnamon, pepper, and nutmeg, among others.
